On the 1st February 2013 Masco, through the Masco UK Window Group Limited, acquired Phoenix Door Panels Limited.
Phoenix Door Panels is a composite and panel door manufacturer based in Somersham, near Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, UK. This bolt-on acquisition for the Masco UKWG, allows the company to broaden its product offering in a growing market, composite doors, while also providing access to new customers for existing Masco UKWG products.
Phoenix Door Panels Ltd have grown over the past few years into a major supplier of composite doors and PVCu door panels, predominately focussing on point of sale excellence, product quality and service to meet individual customer needs.
Masco UK Window Group, already offer the following product ranges: Duraflex Window System; Techniglass sealed units; Cambrian, Griffin and Premier, Trade Fabrication and the Sevenday nationwide distribution business.
Wayne Devine, CEO of Masco UK Window Group, commented :
"The Masco UK Window Group identified the need to add a composite door provider into its portfolio in order to improve the value of our current offering, the benefit of adding panels to the current PVCu door offer was a bonus.
The attraction specifically of Phoenix was the leadership of Neil and the business ethos being identical to that of our own.
I strongly believe Phoenix customers will welcome the opportunity to tap into products readily available from our Group and there is no doubt the customers of the UK Window Group will welcome the Phoenix range of products".
Neil Peck, MD of Phoenix Door Panels commented :
"With Phoenix Door Panels being acquired by Masco UKWG and myself continuing to run and drive the business on their behalf, I could only see this as a winning opportunity.
I have managed, along with my team, to drive Phoenix forward as a company that delivers quality products but also believes that the customer deserves the highest level of service and customer care.
Joining this team, with their expertise, knowledge, commitment and customer care principles, whilst being backed by such a large and successful organisation, looks like a great recipe and I look forward to what the future holds".
